Candy Corn and Peanuts

We are ready for trick-or-treating! Not sure if this will be mom's bag or the kids but I only made one so I'm thinking it's for me. Not that I'll be ringing any doorbells but there's always that treat that neither child will eat and will end up in my bag. By the way, have you ever tried candy corn and roasted peanuts at the same time? Keep that dish as far away from me as possible. LOVE it!

I also finished the Upside Down Daisy hat from Itty Bitty Hats.
This one took me awhile to finish. I'm not crazy about the sewing piece of it and each petal had to be sewed on the top. I guess I'm not sure if I'm doing it right hence the lack of confidence and procrastination! But I like how it turned out.
Happy Halloween!
PS. I've received my invite for Ravelry. Yikes! It's a bit overwhelming but will be very sa*weet once I get it organized.

Projects, projects, and more projects

Must have a list. I am becoming overwhelmed by the minute.

Love this idea from Garnet Hill but I better start now to have it finished by Dec. 2008. Plus I don't know if I could create this without a pattern....anyone out there willing??

Then there are these cute Snowbabies and patterns to knit your snowman a hat and even little accessories like ice skates, mittens and gloves, and even a knitting bag! Too cute.

So here is my list of what I need to either complete or begin (because I have already invested in the yarn). YIKES! Is this what happens to knitters, new and seasoned??

Very exciting...look what came in the mail yesterday! Yes, I think I'm going to actually attempt to make one (the other option is to purchase one from her store) but I also love to sew. Another hobby is just what I need right now, LOL. But this Cup o Joe is so darling and she is so talented. I can't wait for her book to be published.

Wavy Flower

This was a pattern by Pick Up Sticks called Wavy Flower. It was fun to do and I love that felting hides "stuff". I had a hard time when knitting the second tuck but that sweet Maggie at the company was able to explain what to do in an email. I don't like getting stuck and having no one to help me out so I actually emailed the company to see if they could help. She saved the day!

Trick-Or-Treat!

I saw this darn cute thing but the original pattern (above) was crochet and I'm just not there yet but Isela created a knitted version. Unfortunately my stash does not contain these colors (yet) so I'm off to find some yarn to make two before trick-or-treating is here.

Felted Hat

Here's another look at the WIP. Guess who's under the hat? Still need to knit the flower that attaches above the brim and then felt it.

Not knitting related but I have to share this sweet picture. When the weather has cooperated (which hasn't been to often lately) lil' Anders has been chaffeuring El to school in the mornings. He takes his job very seriously and makes sure he gets her to school on time (Nascar style) and sends her off with a little lovin'.

* Ribbons * Book * WIP *

Another hat completed. Well, actually this has been completed for some time but I have been struggling with the ribbon color combinations. Just can't make up my mind if I like it or not. Maybe that will change once its owner is determined. For now it will sit atop the TV where it has been for the past few weeks.

It's finally here!!! Picked it up at the book store yesterday. I was shocked to see it on the shelf already. AND I have begun a list of projects to knit. Just LOVE that Susan B. Anderson. She is one talented knitter and designer. Can't wait to see what she writes next...

Currently on my 10.5's ....it's a secret. Can you guess?
