La-la-la-la La-la-la-la....

...Elmo's world.
Sorry if that song gets stuck in your head. Why does that happen?

I knitted this for a friend's grand daughter who adores Elmo. I searched Ravelry for a pattern but didn't see one I liked so I made my own up. He has a felted nose and stuffed eyes with buttons. Since I knitted the red out of Lamb's Pride Bulky wool I added a fleece lining so no itchies will occur. I think the picture would be have been cuter on a cute head. But I didn't have the cute model available to me so the styrofoam ball will have to do.

PS I'm trying out this feature on flickr where you can click on "blog this" on a photo. I need to know if I can add more pictures to a posting but haven't figured that out yet. Anyone do this?

[edited a few minutes later] And it appears that it cuts off the photo

That is VERY cute. I don't use flickr to upload my pics so I can't help.

I think that is the cutest hat I've ever seen. Ever.

Very cute! It appears that we have independently come up with similar ideas. I knit an Elmo (and Cookie Monster) hat a few years ago and blogged about it last October (http://hidkid.blogspot.com/2012/10/elmo-and-cookie-monster-knit-hats.html). I am surprised I did not come across this when I was knitting that hat. Great blog, btw!
