Here's one other project I had finished a while back but I had to thrift for awhile until I found the perfect pin to go with my cowl. Again inspired by Knitterella. I started making this cowl from the pattern of Last Minuted Knitted Gifts then began increases using the Dolores Park Cowl pattern. It ended up a little bit too big so I thought it would look nice pinned. I have one other cowl waiting for a button and then I'll post that one.
Did anyone do the Ravelympics? I thought "cool" I can finish a project in a few weeks. I picked an easy one too. Just knit and purl. It's a capelet. Did I finish? No... I was disqualified. I used the wrong size needle and forgot to switch needle sizes when stated in the pattern! DRATS! My hope for the gold will have to wait another four years.
That's all for now. I need to get to bed so that I can function tomorrow at school. Today was a struggle :(

What a cute idea (thongs). I'll keep it in mind for the next girlie gift ;)
I'm so out of touch. I would never have thought of knitting a thong! (It looks great, though!)
I love the way it looks pinned. Very stylish!
I wish I had seen that pattern before my sister got married because I would have loved to knit her up a pair :).
What a pretty gift for the bride. I love the cowl too.
Oh my gosh! Your thong turned out great - isn't it funny to knit a thong, and even funnier that the bride-to-be had to look twice because she thought it was store bought (the girl I gave it to did too!) - who knew someone would actually think knitted thongs were sold!
Love the cowl as well and like the mod you made too it. Looks so cute on you and the pin is perfect!
I'm glad you found inspiration in me - I always find inspiration in you! : )
That's adorable! What yarn did you use?
I love your blog - and how you digi scrap your pics. Scrapbooking is my second love. :-)
Kudos,
Hilary
Cute thong, and I love the cowl, it looks great on you with the pin. I need to start knitting some more. I have that book so I should look at the yarn needed, wasn't it cashmere? or maybe not, but I would like to try it with the right yarn.
Have a great weekend.
Hi!
Just caught up on your posts, so much fun stuff. I bookmarked the Heather Bailey page, I think I have to make that pear pincushion. The buddy bag is adorable and you are adorable in your cowl.
Thanks for sharing and I hope your fall is off to a good start. That is tough getting back in action, I remember that from when I was teaching.
Take care,
susan
That's so cute! I love your cowl too, it looks like it was made to be pinned like that :)
I just tagged you for a meme on my blog!
